Characteristics of the plant Ginkgo biloba

Ginkgo biloba – regarded as a living fossil, it is the last surviving member of its genus. Some fossils of the tree have been dated almost 250 million years old. The tree originated from Asia and was spread almost all over the world during the middle Jurassic. The plant was cultivated in the dawn of human civilization and has been a part of our culture, in the form of different extracts.
